Welcome to Piercing Blue, my catch all site for all of the things I do as a career, and my many side projects.
I am a husband and father, son and brother. Professionally, I've been working as a Microsoft Certified Trainer since 1995. I've been a technical editor on 22 books, and am always looking for new projects.
My background as a technical trainer is primarily centered on my knowledge on Microsoft products, but one of the skills I leverage in that role is voice. I have always had an interest in narration and voiceover work, from my junior high and high school days performing on stage, doing the anouncements, and my numerous excursions into radio and television in my youth.
I'm a guitar nut as well, and besides my musical pursuits, I also have taken up the hobby of luthiery, specifically building my own electric guitars. I'd love to have nothing but classic Gibsons, Fenders, and Gretsch's adorning the walls of the home studio (along with the occassional PRS, Brian Moore or Godin), but I think I'd take a little more pride if the basement was littered with guitars of my own creation, whether they're timeless copies of recognized standards, or my own originals. I love guitars, and I'm dedicating myself to the creation of beautiful-sounding instruments, for my own use and for others. At this point in my development, I'll shoot for playable.
